Mabon Countdown Day 14

Fun Activities to Do in the Fall

I love the fall, and with that comes a wonderful amount of fun activities for all ages.

It is the harvest season, and even if you don’t have a garden, or are like me and their garden didn’t exactly do as well as expected, you can still enjoy the festivities.

  • go to a farmers market near you and walk around and enjoy (purchase something if you want)

  • if you have a garden plant things that need to be planted in the fall (I will be planting my garlic this fall)

  • go to farms in your area if they allow it and see what they grow/sell

  • pick apples from an orchard (we have a wonderful farm nearby and I will be getting some produce from there soon

  • go on a hay ride

  • run a corn maze

  • prep your gardens for the next year (here I would map them out, and plan where everything is best in your garden, I will be adding weed fabric to where my plants sit as I noticed a few of my plants grew through the grow bags I had them in and I had a mess of weeds and other plants)

  • plan what plants you want to grow next year (make notes of things you used, what you enjoy, and what did well)

  • harvest your seeds (I will have a video up soon about budget harvesting options)

  • go for walks in the trees and watch as the leaves change colours

  • pick pinecones and acorns in the forest (off the ground preferred) and add them to your altar (if you have one)

There are many other things you can do in the Fall season. My best suggestion is to look local and see what they have planned in your area.
